WCB Painted Miniatures & Digital Art Gallery

Welcome to my gallery. I've tried to categorize the minis appropriately. A few are listed in categories that they may not exactly fit into, but made sense to me. New additions are minis and projects that have been added within the last 30 days. Humanoid monsters contain the more intelligent humanoids like orcs, werecreatures, etc. while things like elementals and the new, 4th ed. Dryad (even though human-like in shape) are listed under monsters. Animals contain, well...animals. That is, I've put magical beasts like the Winter Wolf in with them since it is a wolf after all. Undead rate their own category. Cthulhu miniatures are divided into PC/NPC types and monsters essentially. Any other miniature is in Misc. Projects are anything that is either a) original creations of mine, or b) minis that have been modified with unusual parts (like LED lighting, etc.) and Digital Art is a gallery of my own digital creations.

Keywords for mini listings:

modified - this indicates that the miniature itself was altered in some way - anything from a weapon swap to major modification. I always try and note any bits from other minis/models/sets that I use in the alteration. Sometimes, if two minis are used extensively I will note both minis in the caption title.

rebased - this indicates that the mini has an entirely different base than it came with originally. Sometimes the original base is present (as with a lot of the metal minis) but I have attached the entire mini to a larger base with greenstuff. However, I will not mark a mini as rebased if it has it's original base but flock (sand, static grass, resin, etc.) has been added to it.

(?) - When you see a question mark like this in my gallery, it means I'm unsure of the minis (or parts of minis) origins. I do my best to identify which company produced the mini, the name of the mini, and any other pertinent details, but I have several minis that go back to my early gaming days which I'm still playing catch-up with. I'm always looking out at garage sales and such for minis as well. Often, especially with older minis, I really don't know the details. I'll use my Google-fu as best I can to ID them but it doesn't always work. Feel free to byakhee333@yahoo.com if you have information on a specific mini that needs it.

WCB Vaults - Recent Updates

UPDATED: 05/23/08 - New gallery! After much gnashing of teeth and banging of head against the metaphorical walls I've finally (hopefully!) found a solution to having a gallery that a) works well, b) can easily be incorporated/wrapped into my web pages, and c) doesn't come with a billion other 'features' that I will never use! I can no longer link to an individual mini page, so I created a 'Newly Posted' page to showcase minis and projects I've added within the past 30 days which will dynamically update itself. Yay!

Currently there is a known glitch with my gallery in Internet Explorer 7. The thumbnail links on the 'new' page do not work and the other thumbnails seem to only link up at the top edge of the thumbnail. A fix is in the works, but I don't have an ETA.
