WCB Painted Undead Themed Miniatures
Mini: D&D Miniature (DDM) -
Chillborn
This is a mini that I painted for the
Hordelings May 2008 Uncommon Painting Challenge . I like the Chillborn, but thought it just didn't follow through with the whole icy dead guy look. Some drab colored clothing and some Games Workshop snow flock and he turned out fairly decent. The only issue I have with the end result is that when I added some clear resin to the base to simulate 'ice' it kind of obscured his feet a little, making him look like he's stuck in the ice.
Mini: D&D Miniature (DDM) - Gravehound
I loved the sculpt of this mini and thought that it was a good one to attempt a repaint of. Everybody should have a zombie dog for their RPG campaigns!
Mini: D&D Miniature (DDM) - Flame Snake
I wanted to make a version of this that looked like it was composed of negative energy...an undead version that is. I am not entirely happy with the way it turned out, but it is kind of neat looking. It just doesn't seem as 'undead' as I would have liked.
Mini: Mage Knight - Shade (rebased)
This was an old Mage Knight miniature that I rebased and repainted. Not real sure I could tell you the exact rarity or what set it came from. I had bought a pack a while back, found them again recently while digging around in a stored box and decided to rebase and repaint a few of them. Mostly it was an easy repaint. I simply used a lot of blue washes and inks with light blue and white drybrushing.
Mini: Unknown Manufacturer - Dog Skeleton (rebased)
I'm not entirely sure who manufactured this mini. So far Google-fu has produced nothing. I like the sculpt though, and it turned out OK paint-wise. The only issue I ran into was that I mistakenly got a little too much spray sealer on one side. I'm switching to paint on sealer as soon as the spray stuff I've got runs out though. I think I'd rather paint it on since using the spray cans sometimes produces mixed results.

Orc Zombie (modified)
This is a mini that was painted and modified slightly for an Against the Giants common painting challenge on
Hordelings. The arrow was from a Warhammer
Tomb Kings Skeleton Regiment box set. The snow was made using baking soda, Elmer's Glue and water. The tutorial for making that can be found

Mini: Grenadier - Zombie
This is a mini that I decided to strip down and repaint. I picked this one up a while back because it has some great detail. I believe it came with a few other undead as well, one other of which will be repainted soon as well. The miniature comes from the Grenadier 607 Unholy Undead pack. Sadly, I only seem to have the two undead...the pack originally had three of them.
