Misc. Debris

Ernest Gary Gygax

July 27, 1938 – March 4, 2008

A picture of Gary
Gygax at the gaming table

In the gathering darkness of the setting sun,
the party was gathered for a night of fun.

The cleric with healing, the rogue with his ‘skill’,
the paladin lecturing (with feeling) about the mage’s dark will.

The dungeon was calling, the DM had a smile,
and before long we were falling down a pit half a mile.

After more deadly traps and a battle or two
we’d upend our sacks, while counting our due.

After dicing off to see who had first pick,
the party would divvy up the loot really quick.

We owe it to you (and we know this is true)
without your inspiration we’d be really blue.

Thanks for giving us all the fun times.
May your hits always be crits and your dice always shine.

Thanks Mr. Gygax, -WCB
