Welcome to my Magic the Gathering page.
I started playing MtG about 3 or 4 weeks before The Dark was released. I introduced a few friends and before you know it, we were all hooked!
Of course we made certain mistakes. I can remember when none of us knew that you could only have a maximum of four of any one card...A friend had a Karma deck, for instance, that had eight Karma and 7 Magical Hacks as the main way of dealing Planeswalker doom to opponents. I can also remember the Tower of Power decks - before we all began building 60 card decks the preferred method of deck building involved adding most of one's cards along with land into decks that sometimes wound up being 3-4 stacks of cards to prevent them from tipping over! Ahhh, ignorance was bliss.
Eventually we caught up with the DCI rules along with the restricted and banned list (we never really played for ante much anyways!) though few of us really got into the tournament scene a whole lot. Our preferred method of play usually involved multiple players. So if you have come to check out the latest killer tourney deck, prepare for dissapointment.
